The Martinsburg Area Neighborhood Watch was organized in December of 2005 in cooperation with Blair Senior Services in order to assist in keeping our community safe. All residents of Martinsburg Borough, North Woodbury Township and Huston Township are welcome to attend the meetings, which are held at 7:00 pm on the second Tuesday of every month in the old Jaycee Room at the Martinsburg Borough building. A guest speaker is usually on hand to provide information on a topic of interest, along with representatives from the Martinsburg and North Woodbury Township Police Departments who provide up to date information on activities in each jurisdiction and safety tips. Anyone is welcome to attend these meetings. Next Scheduled Meeting
Our Neighborhood Watch has combined with the Roaring Spring Neighborhood Watch. The meetings will alternate between the two boroughs. The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 10, 2008 and will be held in Roaring Spring at the Borough Building. The guest speaker will be Assistant District Attorney Jackie Bernard, who will be providing information on the War on Crime in Blair County - News from the Battlefield. It is my understanding that Pizza and refreshments will be provided free of charge. Please join us and learn how the community members and businesses in Blair County have teamed up in the fight against crime.
